A business professional with extensive experience in the financial consulting space, Mike Moutrey is currently a Managing Director focusing on the insurance sector at Banister International. In his previous role as an Account Executive with a Northern California search firm, he utilized his relationships with some of the world’s top brokerages to develop an exceptional expertise at placing property and casualty and employee benefits professionals.
Mike began his career in the Financial Services sector as a financial planner for Morgan Stanley where he managed $150MM in client assets, specializing in 401K and retirement planning. In 2009, Mike was recruited by Bank of America to join their sales force. Roughly 80% of his clients followed him to his new employer because of his excellent client rapport and his ability to provide first-rate service and innovative solutions to his clients’ financials needs. As a testament to his outstanding relationship building, he achieved a 100% customer satisfaction rating two years in a row, as measured by Bank of America’s Customer Satisfaction Survey. Subsequent to this role, he gained valuable insurance industry knowledge in his role as Insurance Sales Manager at Castle Insurance Agency where designed and implemented new sales strategies for his team. Here he continued to hone his skills at bringing in new clients and delivering top results.
In 2012, Mike made a shift into talent acquisition where his competitive spirit and drive to win enabled him to place over one hundred highly talented individuals with large, multi-national, brokerage firms. Mike possesses a keen ability to find uniquely qualified talent for his clients, allowing client companies to fill executive positions expediently and effectively.
Prior to his roles in corporate America, Mike’s five years as a professional baseball player instilled in him a dedicated work ethic and a desire to always strive for excellence.
During his personal time, Mike enjoys playing softball and golfing with his wife.
