Mark Kuchuris
Managing Director
Chicago

As Managing Director, Mark Kuchuris brings to Banister more than two decades of global executive talent identification, acquisition and deployment experience in senior operations and supply chain leadership roles with companies supplying the food service, industrial manufacturing, construction, agriculture and automotive industries.

In 21 years with East Balt, Inc., a Chicago-based industrial-scale bakery supplying McDonald’s worldwide, as well as Burger King, and Yum Brands, he has identified and recruited today’s and tomorrow’s leaders in supply chain, operations and regional division management across the U.S., Europe, China/Asia-Pacific, and Africa.

His supply chain management strategy and operations leadership, culminating in his role as Executive Vice President of Global Operations (2010 to 2014) – and driven by his hand-picked management leaders – sustained revenue and profit growth through product line, geographic, and customer base expansion. He was instrumental in working with McDonald’s Global Supply Chain to create a paradigm shift that allowed McDonald’s to loosen its longstanding captive sole-supplier relationship mandates, enabling East Balt to expand its business to other major food service customers, while enabling a more cost-effective strategic model in serving McDonald’s and their global customers.

Mark’s East Balt success in executive talent recruitment and deployment stems from a deep understanding of effective corporate organizational structure as a results driver – and the critical importance of finding the right fit for new and prospective management leaders. Equally important for his role in executive search with Banister is the in-depth study of clients’ needs he brought to delivering them world-class service – as well as his attention to their, their industry’s, and their geographic markets culture in choosing the East Balt managers best able to effectively partner with them.

Over his career, Mark also has served as a regional Operations Director for OTECH Corporation, a thermoplastic and vinyl manufacturer for the construction, agriculture and automotive markets; and as an Executive Sales Leader for industrial equipment and supplies provider Loeb Equipment.

Mark holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a BA in Operational Management from DePaul University.
